King Family Cemetery
Osage Township
Section 11, Township 40 North, Range 13 West
Miller County, MO.
From junctions 54 and 52, at El-Rancho Travel Center, take hwy 52 to Tuscumbia. When you get to hwy 52 and 17 go right across the Osage River Bridge. Once across the bridge Hwy 52 will take off to the left. Stay on Hwy 52 until you get to Capps, once known as Blow Hard. Just before you make the turn into Capps (approx. 8 miles) there is a road to the right, Humphrey’s Creek Road and you turn there. Continue down this road until you get to a sharp left turn, with a drive that goes straight and take the driveway. Follow it around until you come to the house. From the house you have to walk, going west past the pond and 100 to 200 feet up the hill.
This cemetery is not fenced nor tended. The stones are down as livestock have been running through it.
This cemetery is no longer in use.

28 October, 1926 Miller Co. Autogram (some paraphrased)
Grace Anna Clark, daughter of George Clark and wife, was born 20 January 1906 and died October 14, 1926.
Rev. C. M Sooter conducted funeral services at her home the following day. In a very impressive manner amidst a host of sympathizing friends and relatives, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in the family burial ground at the Marion Bell King place.
Rev. J. D. Barnhart at the home of Marion Bell King united her in the holy bonds of matrimony to Lafe King on September 7, 1922.
In her death our county has lost one of its best women. She was ever kind and willing to assist in helping those who needed help and to advise poor orphan children in the ways of the right. She was a member of the Christian (Newlight) Church; a true wife and a loving mother, and a good neighbor.
Besides her many friends who mourn her death, she leaves a father, a mother, two brothers, four sisters, a husband and a little daughter, Eleanor, aged about two years. He infant baby preceded her to the Spirit Land about a week before her departure.
Nothing but time can heal the wound this sad death has inflicted in the hearts of the sad husband and parents and other loved ones. Grace’s work on earth will be an everlasting monument to her remembrance.
The bereaved ones have our deepest sympathy-Mary Curry (The following extracts are taken from the obituary sent in by Rev. Sooter, which was received after the foregoing article was composed by our mechanic): Sister King was converted in a revival meeting about five years ago and united with the Humphrey’s Creek Church, and has lived a devoted, prayerful Christian life since. She was among the best of the community and had many friends. She died from the effects of typhoid fever and other complications after a number of days of intense suffering. The doctors and friends did all that could be done to save her life, but all efforts failed as God had called her to an eternal home above. Blessed be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love. The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above. We share our mutual woes. Rev. Sooter
